Having used this for 5 years I would definitely say it is my #1 machine, it is the work horse of my collection and an absolute must. I will say I’ve ran several lines while having the direction in reverse (I’ve also never had an auto feed) but if the cable binds up the bind is almost always inside the drum, while a bind while in forward is always outside. Running in reverse is also harder on the cable so I don’t feel as strictly as you do but I won’t say your wrong. I will also say that I’ve had great success in 4in pipe but your absolutely going to have to take your time, cause it takes forever and flush a lot of water once it clears. But for roof top jobs, small bathrooms, and 85% of residential problems the standard 75ft of 3/8 has been more than sufficient.

How do you clean the cable afterwards? With Home Depot rentals, I used to just pull all of the cable out, clean it and push it back manually. Does it work on K400? Would it be very strenuous? Any better ideas? Thanks.

The way I see it, is that the autofeed feature is too slow

It's got a dead mans switch. If it sucks in a glove it will stop fairly quick, just lift your foot. I have the same machine except mine doesn't have the gear on the front. I was browsing youtube looking for the machine best suited to be a sewer rooter.

Someone has dropped this machine off. Smoke damaged hall. The person in charge of the company has said the front foam cap needs to be on, basically covering the inlet. Surely this cannot even correct? Could this machine work with out taking the circular foam cover off?

Can someone tell me how to replace the springs on the Mulch grass guard. The bar that holds grass guard on came off when the push screw broke and when I opened it, the springs came off. I've gotten new push screws and fixed the bar but now I can't figure out how to hooks the springs back on. Any help or even just a picture is much appreciated! Thanks!
